About Allegheny Jazz Society

The Allegheny Jazz Society is dedicated to the preservation of traditional and mainstream jazz, America's native musical art form, through the presentation of live concerts, the promotion of jazz musicians and the distribution of recorded music.

Each year, AJS hosts concerts in Meadville, Pennsylvania and Chautauqua, New York, including the annual Jazz at Chautauqua weekend in September. This weekend of consistently sold-out concerts features more than 25 of the country's most talented jazz musicians in three days of high energy, always entertaining, often enlightening performances that bring our audiences to their feet.
